What is The GEP?

The GEP (Global Entrepreneurship Program) is a Masters program put together by three Universities from across the globe: Babson College (Boston, USA), EMLYON Business School (Lyon, France), and Zheijiang University (Hangzhou, China). These three top institutions have come together to create a unique Masters degree that allows students to travel to three different continents in 1 year. As students of this program, we will attempt to immerse ourselves into three unique and contrasting cultures in the hopes of becoming more "entrepreneurial" and "globally" minded individuals.

Confessions of a Drifter

Day 1 - January 26th, 2011

The cohort of 1o travellers regrouped to venture out in search of dinner.

It was snowing more heavily now, and the troop of GEPers began to scavenge through that mountain village like so many stray cats that we’d seen in China. It was a charming place: storefronts with little Buddhist charms and trinkets, markets selling junk food and fruits and popular mountain mushrooms…but no restaurants.

We finally asked a shopkeeper that guided us to a dark building that looked like somebody’s home. After he banged for a couple of minutes, we were greeted by a pudgy woman.

Tea Guzzlers

The place was actually a restaurant. We had noodles with wild mushrooms.

Then we all went to our rooms, bundled up for the cold, and crashed.

Tomorrow we climbed to the top.
